I'm working as a Project Lead at a high-tech company called ASML. In my spare time I like to focus on stuff that fascinates me & relaxes my mind. This includes; staying up to date with technology & blogging about it.
In my spare time I really love to snowboard, skateboard and try other board sports.
To relax my mind, I like to capture my view of the world. I do this by the means of photography and think of my self as a recreational photographer.
I'm a project leader, consultant, technologist, programmer, writer, engineer, videographer & blogger. I work as a Project Lead at ASML.
My interest spikes when I'm introduced to technological challenges. I have developed a healthy curiosity for new and innovative technologies and get enthused when I'm requested for my expertise about it. I apply my skills of conceptual and analytical thinking in my work, where I balance this with creativity and accuracy. Programming fascinates me because there is a certain interaction between its logic, complexity, flow and creativity. The thought of automating - which in turn ups the efficiency of the processes/users utilizing it - motivates and drives me. To use the full potential when working in a team; I introduce and write procedures, guidelines and standards in areas where this is just in development or introduced.
My personal activities created my passions for blogging about them and creating/producing small videoclips hence the videography. With the use of my knowledge of web-technology, I find pleasure in managing & maintaining the websites myself. Currently I find a lot of alternate brain activity through the sports: snowboarding, skateboarding & cycling. Other interests are technology news, movies, series, photography, family and friends.
By means of social media, the way I have been using the web has changed considerably.
Succesful filtering has made my ways with the vast information available on the internet fast and efficient. I read interesting articles and share them via different social media accounts. Whenever a certain topic has gotten me intrigued, I'll write about it in my blog.
Bacause of the way how I connect digitally, I have developed my way of interpreting the world.
Of course everybody has a view on the world. By reading about other people's view, learning from them, taking pointers and interacting with them, I create & adjust my view and beliefs on things in the world.
My history with snowboarding starts a while back, when it was kind of new and my parents did the natural thing of having their kids get ski lessons. Although I liked skiing at the time, there was this other thing that was catching my eye on the slopes, indeed Snowboarding!
So on the second ski-trip with my parents, I just went down to the rental store and got myself a nice snowboard set and got up the mountain trying to get the board down the hill. The first hill I chose, kinda was the highest around as I hadn't explored the area too well. All-in-all in the end I was able to ride down the mountain fairly good after one week of afternoon sessions on the slopes. After this first encounter I was totally hooked to snowboarding. Although time and money really weren't at my disposal to undertake snowboard-trips for my own, I just hit the snow-centers in the Netherlands to keep me from getting rusty. Along the way I got another good buddy of mine (Jorg) hooked as well and taught him the ins and outs as far as I knew and got him up and running as well. Later when I hooked up with my girlfriend Marieke, I managed to convince her to try out some snowboarding, as she had the same skiing classes I got. After teaching both Jorg and Marieke their basic skills, we all thought it was best to book a snowboarding trip. Our first trip was to Sölden, Austria and was the start of the adventures described in this blog.

I have always had a thing for photography, but it was only since 2012 I took it a step further and entered
the DSLR world. I thought this step would be too big, but as it's in my nature to properly research
things before getting into it, the choice has been a good one.
I occasionally take out either my DSLR or phone to capture the world, I share some of this imagery
via my photography blog and otherwise I upload it to my instagram account.
